About LENA

LENA KRAUS (L. K. Kraus) is a writer and translator with ties to Germany, Cornwall, and Norway. She writes realistic fiction, exploring how stories can tell the truth without being the truth.

Before moving to Edinburgh to write, Lena was the chair of the European Democratic Education Community, promoting Democratic Education in Europe and beyond and researching narratives of achievement.

She has translated more than ten novels from English into German, and has also completed a translation course for Norwegian to German.

She is the editor-in-chief of From Arthur’s Seat, an anthology of short prose and poetry, managing a team of 28.

Lena is a keen paddler and has completed the longest canoe race in the world twice.

She loves mycology and will shower her friends in Latin mushroom names unsolicitedly.
